As a CS, this role is ideal for those who enjoy working with students, ensuring continuity of learning, and assisting with classroom management during teacher absences.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials across a variety of subjects.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students’ engagement and participation in lessons.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and lesson delivery.
- Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence to lead a class and deliver pre-prepared lessons.
- Flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach to different school environments.
- A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
- A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with gaps explained.
