We're a signatory of the Women in Finance and the Race at Work Charter and we're Disability Confident Committed.What does the role involve?You will join the Personal Lending Risk team, responsible for managing the risk strategy for personal loans, encompassing credit risk, affordability assessments, and ongoing loan performance monitoring. Your role will involve producing monthly reports, handling ad-hoc requests from the Personal Loans team, and analysing data using SAS. You will then present your findings to the business through Excel or Power BI.Some of your key duties will include:
  • Pro-actively identify improvements to the Novuna Consumer Finance credit risk strategy, scorecards and financial models to improve profitability
  • Deliver predictability and control of bad debt performance to a planned level of loss
  • Provide timely and accurate data and analytics to inform Novuna Consumer Finance Credit and Business Strategy
What are we looking for?You'll have a strong analytical mindset and enjoy diving into problems to uncover insights and develop thoughtful recommendations. Naturally curious, you won't hesitate to seek out the answers you need. Your excellent communication skills will allow you to explain complex, technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.Also, we're looking for the following:
  • Experience working with SAS, SQL, Python and Databricks would be highly advantageous, along with proficiency in Power BI to effectively present and visualise data insights
  • Capable of analysing data and presenting insights in a clear and easily understandable manner
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to work independently and on your own initiative
