Salary: £34,416 to £35,448 per annumAs the Service Coordinator, you will be providing leadership and operational support to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality services. This role involves coordinating and overseeing service operations, supporting frontline staff, and ensuring that service users receive the best possible care and support. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing service workflows, liaising with external stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.   • Oversee the day-to-day coordination and delivery of services, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality support.
  • Manage service schedules, staff rotas, and case allocations to ensure timely and effective support for service users.
  • Work closely with frontline teams to ensure compliance with service standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to improve efficiency and outcomes.
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and support to staff, ensuring they have the resources and guidance to perform effectively.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews to maintain high standards of practice.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting staff well-being and professional development.
  • Liaise with social care teams, health professionals, local authorities, and community organisations to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Represent the organisation at partnership meetings, case conferences, and service planning discussions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with external partners to enhance service provision.
  • Monitor and evaluate service performance, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safeguarding policies, and best practice guidelines.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Qualifications: A recognised social work qualification (BA, MA, DipSW or equivalent) and current registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Significant post-qualification experience in children’s social care, particularly within a safeguarding or assessment context. Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and other statutory guidance related to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, and multi-agency professionals. Strong report-writing abilities are essential.
