Clinical Helpline Nurse / Homecare Nurse Parenteral NutritionLocation: Remote & Field-Based Opportunities: 2 positions availableAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced and compassionate nurse to join our team in a dual role that combines remote clinical helpline support with hands-on homecare nursing.As part of this unique position, you will:
  • Provide expert, timely advice to patients, families, and healthcare professionals through our out-of-hours Clinical Helpline.
  • Deliver safe, high-quality direct patient care at home for individuals receiving parenteral nutrition.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine impact, offering both the reassurance of professional guidance and the continuity of personalised care in patients homes.Main duties of the jobClinical Helpline Nurse
  • Be the first point of contact for patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Carry out triage, offering evidence-based guidance and reassurance.
  • Escalate urgent or complex cases appropriately.
  • Coordinate referrals to healthcare services and specialists.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
Homecare Nurse
  • Deliver clinical care in patients homes, including assessment, treatment, and monitoring.
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot monitoring equipment safely.
  • Educate patients and families on managing conditions, nutrition therapy, and equipment use.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless continuity of care.
  • Report and escalate clinical concerns or incidents in line with policy.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Current NMC registration (Adult or Paediatric).
  • Minimum 2 years post-registration nursing experience, ideally with community or homecare exposure.
  • Confident in using and teaching clinical monitoring equipment.
  • Experience in clinical training, mentorship, or education is desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences.
