
School Mental Health Assistant

- Support students with SEMH challenges, both in and out of class
- Work 1:1 or in small groups to develop emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Collaborate with SENCOs, educational psychologists, and pastoral staff
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where all students feel understood
- A Psychology or Criminology graduate with a genuine interest in child development, trauma, or behaviour
- Someone looking to build experience before pursuing further training (e.g. PGCE, MSc, or mental health roles)
- A calm, patient, and resilient individual who thrives on making a difference
- Degree in Psychology, Criminology, or a related field
- Empathy, excellent communication skills, and a non-judgemental attitude
- Previous experience working with young people or in a care setting is desirable, but not essential
- Ability to commute to Kempston.
