Vision for Education is looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Thurrock from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role, providing 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across Reception, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.The role involves supporting children with a range of additional needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) challenges. You will be working closely with class teachers, the SENCO, and external professionals to ensure that each child has the tools and support they need to thrive.Key responsibilities:Delivering targeted 1:1 support during lessons, activities, and unstructured timesBuilding a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupilAdapting learning materials to suit the child’s individual needsImplementing behaviour strategies and supporting emotional regulationRecording pupil progress and contributing to EHCP reviews and support plansWorking flexibly across different key stages depending on needThe ideal candidate will:
✅ Have previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally within a school environment
✅ Be confident supporting across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
