Voyage Care supports people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and other complex needs in a range of settings across the UK.JOB PURPOSE:The jobholder will on behalf of the National Learning and Development Centre develop and deliver training across the group covering the North, North West & Scotland.RESPONSIBILITIES: * To deliver statutory training within the organisation in line with Legislation,Regulatory Requirements and Policies and Procedures
  • To deliver service specific training courses, according to business requirements, which satisfy the requirements of competence based learning including underpinning knowledge and understanding.
  • To work alone and with colleagues to write and deliver training packages
  • To support and contribute to training initiatives, including the drive to improve quality and compliance standards
  • To act as a key member of the Training Team in order to hear and respond appropriately to the needs of the business, ensuring that issues raised in relation to Safeguarding and other areas of concern are communicated appropriately to Managers
  • To support the L&D Manager in the promotion of training within the organisation including participation in the continuous improvement activities of the department
  • Undertake training relevant to the needs of the post and according to relevant legislation.
  • Carry out duties in compliance with all company policies and procedures including Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities and Diversity at Work procedures.
Education /QualificationsEssential
  • A certified training qualification (and/or willingness to complete one within the first 6 months of employment)
  • A qualification in H&SC at a minimum of Level 3
Desirable
  • Nursing Qualification (active PIN)
  • Other relevant train the trainer qualifications e.g.
  • Moving & Assisting, First Aid, MAPA, Makaton, Safeguarding, MCA, DoLS etc…
  • Other Certified Qualifications in Health and Social Care
  • Relevant management/professional qualification
It's is essential that you have previous experience of delivering training in Health and Social Care, an appreciation of a full range of care settings and a good working knowledge of regulatory requirements and legislation.
