We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior MRI Radiographer to join our busy department, offering a wide range of specialist scanning, rotating between the NUH sites.You will receive a structured training programme on 1.5T Siemens Aera, 1.5T Siemens Sola, 1.5T Philips Ingenia, 3T Philips Elition and a 3T GE Discovery. There are 7 scanners across the NUH sites, (plus 1 further scanner at Loughborough University).You will be supported by our current team with any training requirements, and there will a regular review of your progress to ensure your competencies are achieved.We are a 7 day service, with an on-call provision at QMC, in which you will be expected to participate.Main duties of the jobIn addition to the below summary you need to familiarise yourself with the full job description and person specification documents attached to this advert.We are looking for reliable, responsible, committed, focused candidates who are open to working in a department that offers the opportunity to acquire excellent skills and knowledge.To undertake imaging procedures within area of specialty.To maintain a high standard of work and to strive for continual improvements in radiographic standards and patient care.Triage workflow and patients in the area within which they are working by collaborating with colleagues to maximise departmental efficiency.To establish and maintain a good working relationship with other members of staff and disciplines.To assess, by the way of a safety questionnaire, all patients' suitability to enter the magnetic field.
