If you’re an engaging teacher or tutor, experienced in supporting subjects such as English, Maths or Science and who would relish the opportunity to work with students in their own homes or schools delivering tuition on a 1:1 or small group basis, then we’d love to work with you.You’ll provide in-person tuition to students of all abilities who have either disengaged with education or who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations - opportunities to tutor are tailored with your availability in mind and can vary between 1-15 hours per week depending on the student's learning requirements. Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving the self-confidence and subject knowledge of your learner, ultimately re-engaging them with education and providing a positive learning outcome.Learners referred to us may demonstrate complex learning requirements - distinct experience of working with children who present the following will be advantageous:
  • Special educational needs (SEN) such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and Dyslexia or Dyspraxia
  • Social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs
  • Childhood trauma
Key responsibilities
  • Create lesson plans and deliver tuition programmes that are designed to engage, inspire and teach.
  • Use of our virtual learning platform to report on attendance, attainment and engagement for all tutoring sessions.
  • Liaise with the school, local authority, Fleet Education Services or other key stakeholders to inform and support the student.
  • Complete training as required and commit to safeguarding principles.

Requirements
  • Bachelors level degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience.
  • Must live and be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Must be willing to undertake a full Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and referencing process, as well as subscribing to the DBS Update Service.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the national curriculum for your chosen subject.
  • A commitment to safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH and other complex needs.
