Utilities Supervisor (NI Water) (RE/014W)The role is to manage the day to day activities of digging squads and resolve any issuesYou will be responsible for ensuring all work is carried out within the guidelines set out by our client Northern Ireland WaterReporting the Contracts Manager, you are expected to plan the daily scheduling whilst working within specific timeframesWorking in a team of four, you will liaise with the other Supervisors to ensure the work is completed efficiently and to high standardsComputer literacy is essential and training will be given on our bespoke systemExperience in managing squads is desired, however knowledge of clean water and sewers would be preferable, with a keen interest in learning the job. Training will be provided for the right personThis is a very busy working environment and offers overtime and weekend work. You would be expected to be available for "On Call", working on a rota basisHours of work are 07:00 - 17:00 (Monday-Friday)Van (including diesel) & Mobile phone providedAbout the roleThe role will involve scheduling work for the squads using our in-house systemThis will include repair and maintenance work e.g. burst mains and sewer repairs to new installs e.g., connections and mains laying.You will also be expected to ensure all paperwork, maps and information pertaining to the jobs is accurate and up to dateMust be organised and have the ability to re-schedule work at short noticeBuilding good working relationships with NI Water Field Managers, colleagues and squads is an integral part of the role.About the companyLeading edge utility & civil engineering with vast experience in the installation and maintenance of electricity, water, sewerage, street-lighting, rail and telecoms supplies throughout the province.Required Criteria
