Pay: £166.32 to £175.00 per day (dependent upon experience, training, qualifications & client rate available - includes holiday pay)Academics is a teaching supply agency working closely with Primary and Secondary schools across South Wales.This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic teacher with a passion for upper Key Stage 2. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to a Year 6 class, with a particular focus on raising attainment in literacy.Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver creative and structured lessons for Year 6 pupils
- Support pupils in achieving literacy targets and preparing for end-of-year assessments
- Monitor and assess pupil progress
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate effectively with other teaching staff and leadership teams
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)
- Previous experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Proven strength in delivering literacy at KS2 level
- Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
