We are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic school department in Sefton. This is a crucial, full-time, long-term role, starting this September, for someone who is ready to positively impact the lives of students.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be an integral part of the support system for students with diverse learning needs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct Student Support: Providing one-on-one and small-group assistance to students, both in and out of the classroom.
- Encouraging Well-being: Supporting student's social and emotional development while encouraging their academic engagement.
- Effective Collaboration: Working closely with teachers and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Monitoring Progress: Maintaining detailed records of student progress and behaviour to inform future support strategies.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 months of experience assisting children with SEN in a UK classroom setting.
- DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check, preferably registered with the Update Service, or a willingness to apply for a new one.
- Work Eligibility: The legal right to work in the UK.
- Commitment: A strong dedication to inclusive education and a passion for supporting young people.
