Import Coordinator9 months FTCMonday to Friday - Core Working Hours£30,000Join a leading freight forwarder based in Southampton where your coordination skills keep global trade moving.They are seeking a detail-oriented Import Coordinator to manage international shipments from origin to destination.Your Day-to-Day:Handle end-to-end import operations across sea, air, and road freightLiaise with overseas agents, carriers, and customs to ensure timely deliveryPrepare and process import documentationMonitor shipments, update clients, and resolve delays or discrepanciesEnsure compliance with HMRC and international trade regulationsMaintain accurate records and update internal systems with shipment milestonesCollaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth handover to warehousing or final deliveryWhat You’ll Bring:Experience in freight forwarding or import logistics (1–3 years ideal)Strong knowledge of Imports and customs proceduresExcellent communication skills and customer service mindsetAbility to multitask and stay calm under pressureFamiliarity with freight software (e.g. CargoWise, ASM, or similar) * Must have experience with CDSA proactive, problem-solving attitude with a keen eye for detailYou must be able to start the first week of September, if you can and have experience with Imports or Freight, please get in touch or apply today!!Please note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate on the grounds of a person's gender, marital status, race, religion, colour, age, disability or sexual orientation.
