Long Term Teachers have worked and developed relationships with schools for over seven years and uniquely specialise in finding permanent and long term positions. If you are looking for more flexibility in your life or to take the next step in your career, boosting your skills or experience this is the role for you.You will play a vital role in a child's educational, emotional and social development, working directly with them. You must be able to provide a calm, consistent and reassuring presence, adapting classroom materials to encourage engagement and proactive learning.Responsibilities:
  • Adapting lesson materials, making them accessible to the pupil.
  • Providing one to one support during class.
  • Reinforcing learning objectives set by the teacher.
  • Assisting with literacy and numerical tasks breaking them down into more manageable steps.
  • Understanding the individual needs of the pupil to best support them in class.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with the pupil, parents and colleagues effectively.
  • Patience, empathy and resilience to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Relevant qualifications and training non essential proving good experience.
  • An understanding of relevant safe guarding and child protection procedures.
  • IDEALLY have a drivers license and access to a car, although this is not essential.
