- GCSE/O Level Maths and English or equivalent
- Minimum NVQ 3 plus relevant practical experience
- Degree in a science or health related disipline, or a degree in another field with experience in clinical trials
- EDCl
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and other packages
- Use of email and internet
- Extensive experience of databases and spreadsheets including inputting, analysis and report writing
- Experience of office administration
- Previous NHS experience
- An understanding of the research processes in the NHS including research governance and regulations relating to research practice
- Advanced keyboard skills/touch typing
- Good organisational abilities, with a methodical approach and the ability to pay attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team, and experience of interdisciplinary working
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Use of initiative and ability to work unsupervised
- Tenacity and a proactive approach to work
