Consultant Psychiatrist - City North LMHT (10 PAs, Full-Time, Permanent)We are seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to join our City North Local Mental Health Team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to lead and shape mental health care delivery.AGolden Hellopayment of20% of the minimum pointon the National Consultant (2003) contract is available.You will play a key role in patient assessment and management, GP liaison, MDT meetings, and medicolegal work (MHA/Sec 12). The post includes clinical leadership, supervision, and participation in the day duty on-call rota. You'll contribute to service transformation and work collaboratively across multi-disciplinary and multi-agency teams.The Trust is part of the North School of Psychiatry, East Midlands Healthcare Workforce Deanery.   • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
  • MRCPsych OR MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
  • Additional clinical qualifications.
EligibilityEssential
  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.
  • Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment

  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice
