- Conduct psychological assessments for individuals and contribute to the creation of effective treatment and care plans.
- Provide individual psychological interventions for patients with identified needs.
- Review and assess the effectiveness of psychological interventions.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other professionals to implement therapeutic interventions.
- Maintain and develop a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
- Involve patients in decisions affecting their care.
- Participate in team meetings and provide a psychological perspective on relevant matters.
- Deliver clinical supervision and conduct performance appraisals as required.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures, ensuring effective management and administration compliance.
- Complete written reports and records according to relevant procedures.
- Undertake other duties that align with this role.Person Specification:
- Must be a HCPC-registered Psychologist.
- At least two years of post-qualification experience as a Forensic Psychologist.
- Experience working with adults facing mental health issues, learning disabilities, substance misuse, and forensic histories in inpatient settings.
- Proficient in assessing challenging behaviours and formulating treatment plans.
- Experience with indirect clinical work, including team consultations for supporting therapeutic interventions.
- Experience working with individuals with autism and personality disorders.
- Post-qualification training in one or more therapeutic approaches is desirable.
