The Trafalgar St. JamesPart of Crimson Hotels, The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton is a 5 Star hotel with 137 bedrooms including 9 suites, and a number of venues consisting of our unique The Rooftop Bar and Rockwell that pride themselves in the quality of service that they provide.The RoleAs an Event Planner, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of hotel events and ensuring that all restaurant-related event bookings are flawlessly coordinated with the reservation team.Client Consultation and Relationship Management: Meeting with clients to understand their vision, goals, and budget for the event. This involves suggesting suitable hotel spaces, menus, and services while building a strong, trusting relationship.Interdepartmental Communication: Acting as the central point of contact between the client and various hotel departments. The event planner communicates detailed event requirements to teams such as housekeeping, security, and Food & Beverage (F&B) to ensure seamless preparation and execution.Event Logistics and Planning: Creating detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) that outline every aspect of the event, from the timeline and room setup to the specific menu, audiovisual requirements, and staffing needs. This ensures all departments are aligned and prepared.Execution and Oversight: Overseeing the event from start to finish to ensure everything runs smoothly and according to the BEO. This includes being the main point of contact for the client on the day of the event and addressing any last-minute issues.The PersonThe ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a hotel or venue that works closely with an in-house restaurant or food and beverage team. You are a clear communicator who stays calm under pressure and takes pride in delivering seamless, memorable guest experiences. Highly organized and personable, you thrive in a hospitality environment and enjoy being part of a collaborative team. You bring a sharp eye for detail, a client-focused mindset, and a strong understanding of restaurant operations and cross-department coordination.
