Job Description:Role: Asset AccountantSalary: £70,000 - £80,000 DOE + discretionary bonus and other benefitsLocation: London - 4 days in office, 1 day working from homeTHIS ROLE REQUIRES INDUSTRY RELATED EXPERIENCE - ENERGY/INFRASTRUCTURE/RENEWABLES/ASSET MANAGEMENT ETCRobert Half is proud to be partnering with a private equity-backed business in the energy and infrastructure sector as they continue to expand their portfolio across complex, large-scale assets.This is a unique opportunity to join a high-growth organisation that combines strong commercial performance with long-term ownership of essential assets.The Role:As an Asset Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the financial management of multiple asset vehicles and projects across their lifecycle - from development through construction to operations. Key responsibilities include:
  • Day to day accounting of SVP's and related projects
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
  • Oversight of general ledger activities, including reconciliations, accruals, journals, and fixed asset registers.
  • Support with budgeting and forecasting, producing variance analysis and insightful commentary to aid decision-making.
  • Project finance support including loan drawdowns, covenant monitoring, and facility management.
  • Involvement in M&A transactions, providing due diligence and integration support.
  • Managing tax compliance in coordination with external advisors (corporate, VAT and indirect tax).
  • Preparation of statutory accounts and liaison with external auditors.
  • Driving process improvements and supporting systems development to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Acting as a finance business partner to operational and project teams, providing analysis and guidance to maximise asset performance.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with minimum 3yrs PQE.
  • Background in energy, infrastructure, asset management or a related sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and practical experience in reporting.
  • Commercially minded, inquisitive and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
