Job Title: Working Foreman (Joinery Background ideally)Location: County Tyrone and Fermanagh, Northern IrelandSalary/Hourly rate: Open to negotiationAs a Working Foreman, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing new projects across County Tyrone and Fermanagh. You will lead a team of skilled craftsmen, ensuring projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Your expertise in joinery will be instrumental in guiding the team through various tasks, from blueprint interpretation to final installation.Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of joiners, ensuring productivity and adherence to project timelines.
  • Interpret construction drawings and specifications to plan and execute joinery work effectively.
  • Coordinate with project managers to allocate resources, including materials and manpower, efficiently.
  • Monitor work progress, quality, and safety standards, implementing corrective measures as necessary.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure seamless integration of joinery work within larger construction projects.
  • Train and mentor junior team members, fostering skill development and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and management regarding project updates, challenges, and resolutions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Working Foreman or similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on joinery.
  • Strong background in joinery, with expertise in woodworking techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, delegate responsibilities, and meet project deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices within the construction industry.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel across County Tyrone and Fermanagh for on-site work.
