Children's SEND Support Teaching Assistant
Bury (Prestwich)Monthly £1518 - £1670 Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.ASAP 24 – July 24 contract available for the right person.The School and RoleI work really closely with a primary school in Prestwich who have various roles for children with Special Educational Needs. If you have a genuine desire to make education a great place to be then please get in touch.You will be an integral part of the KS2 area and resource-based unit on site. You will be well supported by a team of Teachers, Senco and SEND division. There will be opportunities to support both as a General Classroom assistant and 1-1 support TA responsibilities.

To be considered for the SEND support worker role you you will ideally have;SEND knowledge and understand how to support children who may have additional needs upto Year 6.
  • Able to develop relationships with children in your care and around the classroom.
  • Ability to support children who need extra support to complete tasks – breaking down tasks, repetition of tasks and engaging in tasks.
  • Focus on the pastoral needs and educational development of children, supporting independence, resilience and perseverance.
  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of learning activities in a variety of ways e.g. active, indoors, outdoors, 121 and small group.
  • Excellence in managing class and 121 behaviour.
  • Carrying out administrative tasks to support safeguarding and child protection.
