Salary: Dependent on experienceSupply Desk is proud to be working with a forward-thinking and inclusive secondary school in High Wycombe, currently seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Science Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This role will initially run until December 2025, with a strong possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate.The successful applicant will join a supportive, well-resourced Science department, teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You’ll help learners build a strong foundation in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, while encouraging curiosity, independent thinking, and a passion for scientific enquiry.We welcome applications from qualified teachers (QTS), ECTs, or unqualified teachers with strong secondary-level Science teaching experience.About the Role:
  • Plan and deliver dynamic, curriculum-aligned Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, tailored to diverse learning needs
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes both academic progress and personal development
  • Track and assess student progress using formative and summative methods, providing timely, constructive feedback to drive improvement
  • Promote curiosity and scientific thinking through engaging practical investigations and inquiry-based learning
  • Contribute to collaborative departmental planning, extra-curricular enrichment, and wider whole-school initiatives
The ideal candidate will:
  • Degree in a Science-related discipline (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or General Science)
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
  • Proven experience delivering Science lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Passionate, adaptable, and student-focused, with a commitment to driving progress and attainment
  • Skilled in behaviour management and creating a well-structured, engaging classroom environment
