What you will do:
  • Provide effective, reflective supervision and professional leadership to a dynamic team of Supervising Social Workers, Practice Managers, and assessment staff.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements under the Children Act 1989, Children and Families Act 2017, Fostering Regulations, and National Minimum Standards.
  • Oversee the recruitment, assessment, approval, review, and training for both mainstream and kinship foster carers.
  • Champion relationship-based practice and reflective supervision to enhance team performance and development.
  • Drive service improvements through audits, quality assurance, and implementation of best practices, while handling complex cases and contributing to organisational learning.
  • Collaborate across agencies, representing the service in multi-agency forums and safeguarding boards, engaging in strategic planning and operational oversight.
  • Efficiently manage team and financial resources, ensure compliance with procedures, and oversee smooth fostering panel operations.
