Junior Estimator (Ground Investigation)Are you interested in geotechnical ground investigation for construction? We have a great opportunity for a dedicated Estimator to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.We are looking for reliable, flexible and driven individual to join our Geotechnical team. As a member of Geotechnical, you will be exposed to a variety of unique projects throughout the country. It is key that you have the balance to be proactive and independent, while simultaneously being a strong team player. Good management skills, and a strong understanding with experience in the industry are vital in order to succeed in this role.The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
  • Complete bid / no bid assessments
  • Produce small to medium bids in a timely manner for peer/senior management review
  • Undertaking site visits to assess feasibility and required resources
  • Developing tender stage programmes and organisation charts
  • Attendance at client arranged site visits, tender interviews and proposal presentations representing SOCOTEC UK
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
  • Confident and knowledgeable of ground investigation techniques, standard specifications and forms of contract
  • 5 years relevant GI Industry experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Computer literate and competent in use of MS Office to create spreadsheets and documents for effective reporting, communication and record keeping
