They need someone who won’t give up on them.We’re working with schools across North Tyneside who are looking for resilient, caring, and steady Behaviour Support Teaching Assistants to work with pupils facing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges.If you’ve got a calm presence, great instincts, and the patience to meet young people where they are—you could make a real impact in this role.What you’ll be doing:Providing 1:1 or small group behaviour support for pupils struggling with regulationHelping students build trust, resilience, and emotional confidenceUsing de-escalation strategies and positive reinforcement techniquesSupporting the class teacher in creating a structured, calm learning environmentBeing a consistent, encouraging adult pupils can rely on day to dayWhat we’re looking for:Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs (school, youth work, care, or mentoring settings welcome)
