Senior Engineer wanted for a civils and water based client.Senior Engineer – Derby/Leicester (Permanent Role)BCS Connect is proud to be partnering with our client to recruit a skilled Senior Engineer for their Northern Region team.This permanent role offers the chance to take the lead on the Environment Agency Flood Alleviation Scheme in Lowdham, with plenty of future opportunities across the region.The RoleAs Senior Engineer, you’ll be responsible for technical delivery on site. You’ll oversee design changes, keep quality records and ITP plans up to date, and ensure the project progresses to meet programme targets.Your day-to-day will include independent setting out, mentoring Junior Engineers, managing sampling and testing records, preparing risk assessments and method statements, and handling site service plans and permits.You’ll also support the site QS and Project Manager with key data for records and claims, manage temporary works, and build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors. Ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance will be central to your work.What We’re Looking ForWe’re after someone with solid experience on infrastructure projects such as highways, roads or earthworks.You should be confident using Leica or Geomax equipment and transferring data from AutoCAD, with a good understanding of ITPs and quality assurance processes.Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. A full UK driving licence is required, along with the flexibility to travel across the Northern Region.
