The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of housekeeping duties, including daily cleaning, laundry, and general household maintenance. High standards of cleanliness and organisation are essential, particularly in the kitchens, bathrooms, and shared living areas. In addition to managing household supplies and running errands, the role may involve occasional childcare for secondary school-aged children and assistance with guest preparations or special events.Cooking is a key part of the role, especially on weekends, with the expectation to plan and prepare healthy, delicious meals for the family and to keep the kitchen clean and well-organized. This full-time, live-in position includes separate on-site accommodation, two weekdays off (likely Tuesday and Wednesday), and requires some weekend work, along with occasional travel to the family’s London residence. A competitive salary is offered, along with the use of a vehicle for work-related duties. While dependents cannot be accommodated, applicants preferring a 4-day workweek may also be considered.   • Cooking for the family
  • Plan, prepare, and serve delicious, healthy meals for the family on the weekend
  • General housekeeping tasks (cleaning, tidying, laundry, ironing, etc.)
  • Wardrobe management and organization
  • Run errands and manage household supplies
  • Assist with guest preparations and special events
  • Childcare duties when required (secondary school age)
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and polishing
  • Maintain bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas to a high standard
  • Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
Candidate Requirements:
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong cooking abilities and menu planning experience
  • Demonstrate competence and capability as a cook
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in private household or luxury hospitality settings
  • Must have contactable references
  • Excellent cleaning and laundry skills
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record (preferable but not required)
  • Ability to work independently and take pride in their work
  • Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential matters
