This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is committed to helping every student thrive, regardless of their challenges.The Role: What You'll DoAs a vital part of the classroom team, you will provide personalised support to students, helping to create a positive and productive learning experience. Your daily responsibilities will include:
  • Individualised Support: Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to help them understand concepts and complete tasks.
  • Classroom Collaboration: Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, prepare educational materials, and help maintain an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Emotional & Social Development: Serve as a mentor, guiding students in developing essential social and emotional skills.
  • Progress Monitoring: Provide valuable feedback to the teacher on student progress, challenges, and successes to help inform and adapt support strategies.
The Ideal Candidate: Who We're Looking ForWe are seeking a compassionate and resilient individual with a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have:
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and a valid Child DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
  • Empathy: The ability to connect with students on their level and remain calm and supportive, especially during challenging moments.
  • A Proactive Approach: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to take initiative and find creative solutions.
  • Strong Communication Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents, and to work collaboratively as part of a friendly team.
  • Relevant Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly in a school setting or with SEN, is highly desirable.
