The firm’s Energy team is passionate about renewable energy and its importance globally and proudly supports UK businesses with their real estate interests in onshore wind, solar, EV, battery, AD, hydro and other renewable technologies.About the roleBased from the Exeter, Taunton or Truro office with hybrid working, you will play an important part in the Real Estate team with a specific focus on Energy sector clients and their particular interests, concerns, and requirements. The team have developed impressive expertise across a range of projects and technologies including onshore and offshore wind, solar, energy from waste, EV, battery, AD, hydro and other renewable technologies, and your expertise will add to and enhance the team’s capabilities.You will be dealing with options and leases, power purchase agreements, easements, and grid connection agreements, acting for funders, landowners, and developers across a range of renewable energy technologies. As part of this, you will be liaising with the corporate, construction and planning teams in order to provide a seamless one-stop service for clients with renewable energy projects.As part of this role, you will have the opportunity to supervise and support the development of less experienced members of the team, ensuring everyone has the skills and confidence to deliver an exceptional experience to clients every day.In terms of business development, you will be actively encouraged to participate in thought leadership and broader networking opportunities with support from expert colleagues, to continue enhancing the firm’s (and your personal) profile within the Energy sector.About youAs a motivated and ambitious Real Estate Solicitor or Associate, you take pride in delivering exceptional client service and encourage your colleagues to do the same. You have developed a passion for working with Energy sector clients on their specific requirements and take every opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of renewable energy in order to provide credible, insightful, and commercially relevant advice to your clients. You are eager to stay up to date with the latest sector developments and actively seek out opportunities to do this on a regular basis.You are readily able to demonstrate your strong analytical and communication skills and you can work strategically with clients and as part of a team. Being resilient to work under pressure by organising yourself effectively, you will be able to meet deadlines as needed. You will possess proven rapport-building skills and you are tenacious, thorough, and attentive to detail whilst appreciating the 'bigger picture' for your clients, taking pride in the high standards of your work.You will be looking to make your mark and build a successful career as well as supporting the development of others in the team.
