This role is responsible for the overall leadership of the production processes for gas analysis products. This includes day to day supervision of production and planning personnel and managing effective cross functional collaboration to ensure the safe delivery of quality products in line with sales commitments. You will also be responsible for developing effective processes to support continued growth and driving continuous improvement throughout operations for your value stream. Effective engagement with supply chain partners and internal and external customers is also a critical success factor in this position.If this sounds like an appealing job for you, we encourage your application!In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Leads the production activities for gas analysis products.
- Collaborates with planning, supply chain, quality, manufacturing engineering, logistics, stores, and facilities to ensure delivery targets are reached.
- Appropriately staff department, provide resources and assign responsibilities of all employees in your team.
- Drives safety culture in the organization through leading hazard reporting, safety observations, and completion of safety action items
- Build & update KPI reporting (e.g On Time Delivery, efficiency, unit output, throughput times)
- Lead planning activity for the Value Stream(s) based on S&OP forecast and advice on headcount. Make recommendations to site leadership on appropriate headcount requirements based on forecasted demand and acceptable productivity level.
- Serve as support structure for production supervisors and production staff and ensure company objectives are cascaded down accurately at all levels in department.
- Provide feedback on material misses each week / month and in-depth analysis of failure modes and recovery plans
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to build improvement map for Product Lines.
- Complete a forward-looking continuous improvement plan for the organization, focused on key metrics of productivity, safety, quality, and cost.
- A minimum of 10 years experience in manufacturing environment / production management.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering or other relevant field.
- Strong communication and persuasion skills.
- Knowledge of management principles (production planning, production methods, prioritization, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of Lean and continuous improvement
- Experience in leading sales and operations planning process.
- Experience working directly with suppliers and customers
- Proven track record to work optimally in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments.
