
Community Technician

- Must hold full and valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle in order to travel to patients, clinics, base and meetings as required
- GCSEs Band 4 or equivalent in English, Maths and Science or equivalent evidence of ability to study and undertake phlebotomy training
- Phlebotomy experience training
- Experience of dealing face to face with members of the public
- Experience of working within a care setting
- Experience in a Pathology Department
- Administrative experience
- Ability to work effectively within a team and also independently
- Highly motivated
- Able to provide high standards of care
- Tact, diplomacy, empathy and sensitivity
- Ability to use own initiative
- Good observational and reporting skills
- Able to work flexibly to meet the patient and service needs
- Be able to kneel, bend and stoop, and work in cramped environments
- Have basic IT and standard keyboard skills
- Knowledge of SystmOne
- Aware of issues in community and health care
- Ability to manage stressful situations
- Be a team player
