Senior Fire Consultant (Hybrid)With a particular focus on fire protection materials used within the construction and protection sector, our client is an established global manufacturer of fire protection products supplying in to markets throughout the world. To support their organisations continued development and work closely with the Fire Protection Team, they are seeking a Senior Fire Consultant / Engineer to support their continued successful market presence.Based from a hybrid position but working closely with the manufacturing operation in Manchester, candidates should have an existing expertise as a Senior Fire Engineer / Fire Safety Advisor / Passive Fire Protection Inspector / Fire Engineer and be versed in the current technical standards and requirements. You will ideally have a good working knowledge of Approved Document B and relating sector requirements.As a subject matter expert, you will be tasked with specifying and providing technical guidance relating to passive fire protection products and work to support successful market involvement. This is not a sales position but is to support the further market development, technical support and engagement, as well as the success of the organisation in the UK and potentially internationally.Role Duties
  • Work closely with the commercial team to answer technical questions
  • Provide specification advice to enable correct use of their products
  • Attend meeting (F2F / teams) with project stakeholders including Architects, Main Contractors, Fire Engineer, Subcontractors and Building Control
  • Manage a team of 2 site support specialists (Technical Advisors)
  • Visit site to provide installation advice and inspections
  • Provide toolbox talks to demonstrate installation methods around passive fire protection on live projects, in particular within external wall cladding systems.
  • Inspect sites to ensure compliance with specifications and installation requirements including taking measurements, photographs and data capture, followed by site reports.
  • Support cross functional teams on new product introduction and product development
