- Manage financial controls and processes for head office R&D, laboratory, and administrative cost centres. This includes overseeing intercompany recharges across the Group and managing capital project finances.
- Prepare and deliver monthly management information and spend reports for Head Office cost centres.
- Lead the annual financial reporting process for eight UK trading and holding entities (two of which are actively trading) in full compliance with FRS101.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to prepare UK tax computations, support R&D tax credit claims, and manage HMRC Group Payment arrangements.
- Assist the UK Financial Controller with external year-end audits, liaising with auditors and tax advisors to ensure full compliance.
- Provide support for the company's budgeting and mid-year forecasting processes, focusing on the UK Head Office and Holding Companies.
- Contribute to ad hoc finance projects to help deliver departmental and business-wide objectives.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with strong post-qualification experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of UK statutory reporting and FRS101 accounting standards.
- Solid understanding of financial systems, processes, and cash management.
- Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills, with the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel expertise) and familiarity with ERP systems; prior experience with CCH Accounts Production software is desirable.
- Previous experience within the manufacturing sector is a plus but not essential.
- Self-driven and results-focused, demonstrating a proactive and adaptable approach.
- Able to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines with quality output.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams and departments.
