- Shape the Future: Contribute to the development of Sizewell C, a power station poised to generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, securing a cleaner energy future for generations.
- Strategic Leadership: Lead and advise project teams on sustainability and environmental matters, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will help guide the Head of Environmental Management and Sustainability.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the adoption of best practices and initiate improvements through audits and inspections, ensuring the project meets its environmental and sustainability goals.
- Collaborative Environment: Work alongside key stakeholders, and local communities, to promote initiatives and innovations that enhance environmental and sustainability efforts.
- Implement the project's Environmental and Sustainability strategy.
- Advise project team members at all levels, providing leadership in sustainability risk management.
- Support and coach Environmental and Sustainability advisors, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct inspections and audits, utilizing data to drive sustainability action plans.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to promote collaboration and share best practices.
- Proven experience in the infrastructure industry within environmental and/or sustainability roles.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing teams.
- A relevant degree and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, capable of influencing positive change.
- Experience in implementing ISO14001 standards.
- Chartered environmental professional status and ecological survey experience.
- Knowledge of Development Consent Orders (DCOs) and Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs).
