Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – September Start (Temp to Perm)Location: Long Eaton, NottinghamshireStart Date: September 2025Daily Rate: £90 - £100 Per DayContract Type: Temporary to PermanentWe are looking for a caring, patient and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Long Eaton this September. The role will begin on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent for the right candidate.This school caters for children and young people aged 3–19 with a wide range of special educational needs, including autism, communication difficulties, and complex learning needs. They are proud of their nurturing, inclusive environment, where each pupil is encouraged to achieve their potential through personalised learning, therapeutic support, and a strong emphasis on life skills. The staff team is experienced, welcoming, and dedicated to making every day engaging and meaningful for the pupils.Your role will include:Supporting pupils in lessons, ensuring they can access learning in a way that suits their individual needsAssisting with personal care where requiredUsing communication aids and strategies to help pupils express themselvesEncouraging independence and confidenceWorking closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staffWe are looking for someone who:Has experience working with children or young people with SEN (in a school, care, or youth setting)Is patient, adaptable, and resilientCan build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleaguesIs willing to learn and develop professionallyAbout Teaching Personnel:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
