  • Supporting senior Quantity Surveyors in the delivery of commissions across all stages of a project.
  • Assisting with cost planning, estimating and budget management for a variety of construction schemes.
  • Preparing tender documentation and analysing contractor bids under guidance.
  • Carrying out site visits and helping monitor project progress, valuations and variations.
  • Contributing to the preparation of reports and attending client meetings to build confidence and communication skills.
Individual Duties:
  • Assisting with the measurement and quantification of materials and works from drawings, specifications and site visits.
  • Gathering and reviewing supplier quotes to support cost comparisons and procurement decisions.
  • Logging and tracking variations to the contract scope.
  • Attending design and coordination meetings to gain exposure to project development and understand how design changes impact cost.
  • Assisting in preparation of order of cost estimates and cost plans throughout the design stages.
  • Supporting the analysis of tender returns and contributing to tender reports.
Skills and requirements:
  • Quantity Surveying Graduate or relevant degree.
  • Aspiration and drive to work towards RICS.
  • Valid UK Driving licence.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and within a team setting.
Knowledge of:
  • MS 365 and Teams
  • Good IT literacy
