Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical (Weapons)Location: Barrow-In-Furness - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.Salary: Starting from £35,802 Depending on experienceWhat you’ll be doing:To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environmentLiaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to endure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant mannerInstruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competencyResponsible for research, review & feedback of appropriate documentation to the required standardKeep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislationRepresent the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirementsResponsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures and legislationDemonstrate awareness of product knowledgeYour skills and experiences:Ability to provide technical knowledge to emergent challengesSkilled in the use of Microsoft packages & company specific softwarePrevious Submarine Weapons System knowledge is desirableControl of Works and Safe System of Work knowledgeTesting & Commissioning air & fluid pipework systems, e.g. air, water. The role will provide you with the opportunity of working on Submarine Weapon Systems which is a specialist area with unique design and challenges.
