Description and requirementsSkanska, one of the world's leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.We are looking for an assistant planner to join our Infrastructure team in Cambridgeshire, A428 - Black Cat Compound.What you'll do:
  • Assist in maintaining and updating main project programme, helping to prepare programme submission documents and internal reporting.
  • Work with project team and suppliers to produce, challenge and maintain collaborative short-term programmes that align with the main programme.
  • Ensure that the lookahead/supplier programmes are accurate and monitor supplier KPI's.
  • Lead collaborative planning and short-term programme sessions.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Construction experience and technical understanding of engineering principles, construction techniques and best practices.
  • Experience of developing short term programmes for a section of works.
  • Understanding of the time impact of typical construction risks and opportunities.
  • Understanding of the construction market, methods of construction, plant, equipment and labour requirements.
  • Relevant CSCS card
