If so, we would love to hear from you!About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a visually impaired child aged 5+, supporting their educational journey within a vibrant and inclusive school environment. You will play a pivotal role in enabling access to learning, adapting materials, and promoting independence, confidence, and curiosity.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide tailored 1:1 support to a visually impaired child, both in and outside the classroomModify and adapt resources to ensure accessibility across the curriculumWork closely with the class teacher, SENDCo, and external specialists to deliver individualised learning plansSupport mobility and orientation as needed, encouraging safe and confident movement throughout the schoolFoster emotional wellbeing, communication, and self-esteem in a nurturing and structured wayWhat We’re Looking ForProven experience supporting children with visual impairments, particularly aged 5 and aboveStrong knowledge of strategies and resources for children with VI needs (e.g., braille, large print, tactile materials, assistive tech)A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to learning supportExperience working within a school or early years settingRelevant qualifications in supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential)What We OfferA supportive and collaborative school communityOpportunities to make a real difference in a child’s life every dayA rewarding role where your expertise and dedication are truly valued&ld
