Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Perth, Perthshire
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon applicationWe are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Perth, Perthshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.What will your responsibilities be?This role is based within an inpatient setting, focusing on general adult psychiatry. Key responsibilities include delivering high-quality psychiatric care, conducting comprehensive assessments, and formulating individualised treatment plans. The successful candidate must hold Section 12 approval, Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT), and Approved Medical Practitioner (AMP) status under Section 22. You will be expected to act as the Responsible Clinician (RC), participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, and ensure compliance with the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.Qualifications and Experience:
  • Full GMC registration (essential)
  • Section 12 approval
  • CCT in General Adult Psychiatry
  • AMP status under Section 22
  • Experience in inpatient adult psychiatry
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
