SEND Teaching AssistantsLocation : CalnePay : £100 - £115 per dayASAPLong Term Teachers are looking for SEND Teaching Assistants, for contract work around the Calne area. As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will be providing classroom support through the adaptation of learning activities to support SEND pupils' learning and creating a positive learning environment. You will also be assisting in the personal development of students, helping teachers set up classrooms and manage resources.This role starts immediately and is perfect for those looking to expand their experience as well as working with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). In this role, you should be passionate about making a difference and enthusiastic about education for SEN children.Responsibilities :
  • Tailoring instruction and materials to meet individual needs.
  • Providing one-on-one or small group support.
  • Monitoring progress of students
  • Ensure classroom is safe and secure
  • Support positive behaviour and help students emotionally regulate.
Requirements :
  • Experience working with SEN Children
  • Passion for working with children with additional needs ; enthusiasm to create a positive relationship and environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to work with other teachers and to keep parents updated.
  • Understanding of child safeguarding procedures
  • Patience and resilience in the supportive learning environment
