Our RF Brookes site based in Rogerstone is one of the largest and most advanced food manufacturing facilities in Europe, with over 1500 employees, turning over £140 Million per year.About the Role:We're currently recruiting for a Creative Concept Chef to join our NPD team at our RF Brookes site in Rogerstone.This role supports the NPD & EPD activity from concept, supporting process scale up through to launch. This is a customer facing role, working with a creative mind to ensure 2SFG reputation is maintained for delivering first to market innovative foods.You will be responsible for driving the innovation agenda and continually enhancing the food values on site, ensuring all NPD and EPD activity is fit for manufacture and delivers the quality, innovation and commerciality required by 2SFG, its customers and brands.You will ensure NPD & EPD pipeline delivers against business strategy and is in line with our customers objectives and strategies. You will build collaborative relationships - Interface between site Technical, Process, Commercial, Operations & Category teams. You will focus on building strong relationships with M&S Development Chefs, NPD Managers, Commercial & Technical. You will interface with the customer, specifically M&S Chefs, and regularly attend customer presentations aligning business strategies to protect and drive site and customer growth.Alongside Head of Culinary, you will proactively drive innovation aligned with category insight and the commercial agenda and keep up to date with culinary & food industry trends.About you:
  • NPD/Chef background with an eye for innovation and creativity and with a real passion for food
  • Restaurant experience in either a Rosette or Michelin starred restaurant is essential
  • Experience of working with one or more of the major retailers ideally with exposure to M&S or other major retailers
  • A 'foodie' with a commercial focus who can combine creativity with a complete understanding of full-scale production practicalities.
