- You must have experience in dealing with estate administration both probate and intestacy, applying for grants of representation
- Dealing with related inheritance tax returns, and Will drafting and drafting of lasting powers of attorney (both finance & property and health & welfare) and Court of Protection deputyship cases.
- Advise clients on a range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, and estate administration.
- Draft and review legal documents, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct negotiations on behalf of clients to achieve favourable outcomes.
- Manage a diverse caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client care.
- Liaise with third parties such as financial institutions, tax authorities, and other solicitors as necessary.
- Keep abreast of changes in legislation affecting private client work and implement best practices within the firm.
- Provide guidance on tax implications and strategies related to estate planning.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients' interests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear client interactions and documentation.
- Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with the capability to think critically under pressure.
- Empathy and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- A solid understanding of relevant legislation and best practices in private client law.
