- The Technical Writer will shadow and collaborate with senior technical staff to capture undocumented processes and system knowledge.
- Produce clear documentation (procedures, diagrams, runbooks) that enable other engineers to follow and replicate tasks.
- Work independently with technical teams to understand systems and confirm knowledge gaps.
- Document to ensure clarity and consistency.
- Support the team in creating a maintainable knowledge base for ongoing operations.
- Act as a senior presence to engage effectively with strong personalities and drive progress.
- The Technical Underwriter will be able to work independently and with teams to extract, structure, and clarify undocumented knowledge.
- Comfortable dealing with long-standing technical experts and translating their knowledge into usable guides.
- Pragmatic, organised, and confident in both technical and interpersonal aspects of the role.
