Working at our clients facility in Altens. There could be work on remote sites in Scotland. If so accommodation and meals paid.Working hours Monday - Thursday 0700 - 1530 and Friday 0700 - 1300.The main purpose of this position is to carry out the removal, disassembly, refurbishment, assembly, installation and commissioning of mechanical components in a safe and responsible manner at all times.Main ResponsibilitiesCarry out the removal / Installation of mechanical components from the customer's sitesDisassembly / assembly of mechanical components as requiredUndertake identification and labelling of all mechanical components for traceability & IDCleaning / protecting mechanical components as requiredCarry out conditional reporting on mechanical components, liaising with the relevant Project EngineerIdentifying mechanical components requiring replacement and reporting to the relevant Project EngineerCarry out dimensional checks and sizing of mechanical components using calibrated equipmentCarry out refurbishment of mechanical components as requiredUndertake onsite commissioning of mechanical components on customer sitesMaintain a safe and tidy working environment and make appropriate use of PPE at all timesWork to the requirements of CDM regulations 2015Work to HSE ACOPs, customer rules & specifications, company work instructions and route cards at all timesRepresent the company in a professional manner at all timesCarry out any other reasonable task / activities as requested by Manager or delegateSkills and AbilitiesAbility to learn and adapt to the requirements of the roleAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMsAbility to use calibrated equipment for accurate measurement and dimensional checkingPossess a high level of focus and attention to detail and accuracyOrganisational ability and time management skillsDemonstrated self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently and as part of a teamAdvanced conversational and written English/high level interpersonal skillsComfortable working at height and in confined spacesAble to work away from home as requiredAble to work overtime, periodic weekends and night shift if neededDesired Qualities / QualificationsMinimum SVQ level 3 or equivalent or higher in relevant trade qualificationPreferred (5) years practical experience working in an engineering environmentPreferred (5) years practical experience of working with hand & power toolsPreferred experience working on CDM worksitesPreferred working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001Preferred Full clean driving licenceHealth, Safety, Environmental & QualityPerform duties in a safe manner at all times, to prevent injury to yourself and your co-workers.Adhere to HSEQ Policies and Procedures relevant to your work area and job function at all timesDo not undertake any task or job for which authorisation and/or training has not been givenReport all work related injuries, accidents, property damage, equipment damage, near misses and safety or environmental hazards to your supervisorJob specific training will be identified from appropriate training matrices for your position
