The Client Development team is a commercial team with a fantastic team spirit. We are looking for an intellectually curious, commercially astute and client-focused individual to join us for this very exciting next phase in the business' growth. The Client Development team is responsible for managing the end-to-end client sales process, which includes: sourcing and effectively qualifying new client leads; pitching to clients for business; establishing new and long-term client relationships; taking the client brief; sourcing suitable legal consultants; negotiating commercial terms; and closing the deal. It is a fast-moving process that requires an individual with drive, tenacity, strong organizational skills and excellent client management ability.Key Responsibilities:Proactively identify and research potential client organisations, focusing on in-house legal teams within leading global businesses:
  • Utilise web-based tools, databases, and social media platforms to generate and qualify new business leads.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive pipeline of prospects, ensuring accurate records of all interactions and opportunities.
  • Support the planning and execution of client development events, including webinars, roundtables, and networking sessions.
  • Conduct pre-event research to identify and engage target attendees, ensuring high-quality participation from relevant organisations.
  • Prepare briefing materials and background information to maximise event impact and follow-up opportunities.
  • Leverage CRM systems and other digital platforms to track client interactions, manage leads, and monitor the progress of business development activities.
  • Work closely with Client Development Managers to understand client requirements and organisational culture.
  • Assist in the placement of legal consultants by identifying suitable candidates and facilitating introductions to in-house legal teams.
  • Coordinate the logistics of consultant placements, ensuring a seamless process for both clients and consultants.
  • Present suitable opportunities to consultants, providing detailed information and guidance throughout the selection process.
  • Maintain regular communication with consultants and clients to monitor satisfaction and work with Client Development Managers and the Head of Market to address any issues that arise.
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of marketing materials tailored to client audiences, including presentations, proposals, and case studies.
  • Alongside colleagues, represent the firm at industry events and client meetings, promoting the value of the firm's legal consultancy services.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns and website content updates.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients, acting as a key point of contact for ongoing support and service delivery.
  • Gather feedback from clients and consultants to inform continuous improvement of services.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address any concerns to ensure a high standard of service is maintained.
