Reports to: Conveyancer / Head of Department / Practice ManagerA well-regarded law firm is seeking a detail-driven and organised Conveyancing Assistant to join its busy residential property team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced conveyancing support professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and values precision, client care, and strong compliance procedures.π Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate new client onboarding, including ID verification, AML checks and source of funds/wealth assessments
- Draft and prepare conveyancing documentation such as contracts, completion statements, SDLT returns and AP1s
- Order office copies and searches, and manage Land Registry submissions
- Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, solicitors, lenders and third parties
- Maintain accurate records and case files via a legal case management system
- Review documentation meticulously, ensuring everything is complete and compliant
- Provide timely administrative and case progression support to the fee earner
- Proven experience in residential conveyancing, ideally within a law firm setting
- Solid understanding of AML and KYC protocols, with confidence in verifying identity and financial documentation
- Excellent administrative, organisational, and time management skills
- Professional, reassuring communication style with clients and colleagues
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and conveyancing software
- Familiarity with Land Registry applications and SDLT submissions
- Calm and methodical under pressure, with a keen eye for detail
