We are seeking a resilient and empathetic Behaviour Mentor to join our team on a part-time basis. You will work closely with students who may display challenging behaviour, providing one-to-one and small group support to help them:Re-engage with learningDevelop positive behaviour strategiesAchieve academic and personal goalsThis is a highly rewarding role for someone who can stay calm under pressure, build trust quickly, and adapt to meet the individual needs of each student.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport students with their academic learning across a range of subjectsModel and promote positive behaviour, resilience, and respectImplement strategies to help students manage their emotions and behaviourWork collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agenciesMaintain accurate records of progress and incidentsProvide pastoral care and mentoring to help students overcome barriers to learningPerson SpecificationEssential:Experience working with young people, ideally in a PRU, SEN, or alternative education settingStrong communication skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situationsResilience, patience, and empathyAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamCommitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young peopleDesirable:Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, or behaviour supportUnderstanding of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needsBenefits to YOU:
