Contracts Manager

• Develop detailed project plans and schedules
• Lead weekly progress reviews and forward planning sessions
• Attend on-site meetings to monitor construction progress
• Produce and update project programmes in coordination with site managers

• Chair internal and external meetings and maintain accurate records
• Liaise with site managers, clients, and subcontractors
• Resolve site issues and manage variations and minor works
• Oversee resource allocation, recruitment, and equipment tracking

• Organise pre-start meetings and project launches
• Handle subcontractor communications and issue resolution
• Monitor snagging, defects, and client updates through to final handover

• Set high standards for on-site H&S practices and documentation
• Allocate and verify H&S responsibilities and training
• Implement and monitor risk management controls

• At least 5 years’ experience in contract management
• Background in social housing construction (new build and refurbishment)
• Relevant qualifications (HNC, Diploma, ILM or equivalent)
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, communication, and negotiation
• Highly motivated and able to work independently
