A vacancy has arison for a dynamic Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Occupational Therapy team which is based within acute adult mental health In-patient services within the Pennine locality. The team provides occupational therapy input into all the in-patient wards at Pendleview, Royal Blackburn Hospital and Woodview at Whalley.The team consists of OTs, Occupational Therapy assistants and Recovery Support workers who work collaboratively with the inpatient multi-disciplinary team to promote a model of recovery.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Occupational Therapist who has a commitment to further developing their skills within a mental health setting. We will require at least 18 months post registration experience, with at least 12 months of this working within a mental health setting.Main duties of the jobThe post holder will provide assessments, plan and deliver interventions for people whose mental health problems have a marked impact on their occupational functioning, and who have complex occupational needs. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage their own time and work proactively to meet the fast pace and demands of the service.
